We’re excited you’re considering the Stratford Aces for the upcoming season. Below you’ll find everything you need to know about our spring tryouts, registration process, and team selection.
Spring Tryouts (U9–U18)
Spring tryouts for all U9 to U18 teams are the first step in forming our rep teams for the 2026/27 season.
How to Register
All players must register online through RAMP prior to attending tryouts.
Tryout registration will open April 1
Formal season registration will take place only after players have been selected to a team.
Tryout Fees
Please Note:
- Tryout fees are non-refundable
- Payment must be completed before your first skate – no exceptions
- Players will not be permitted on the ice without payment
- There are no discounts on tryout fees
All payments are completed through the RAMP online system.
Tryout Structure & Team Formation
- All players are guaranteed participation in the first two tryout sessions
- Player evaluations begin immediately, and releases may occur after the first two skates
- The number of players attending tryouts will help determine if multiple teams are formed within an age group
We strongly encourage all interested players to attend the first tryout session.
If you are unable to attend the first tryout but are still interested in being considered:
- Complete the online tryout registration
- Notify the team’s coach in advance of tryouts
Second/Third Teams
- Coaches for potential second & third teams will be present at initial tryouts
- Selections for additional teams will be made based on registration numbers and evaluations
Team Selection & Next Steps
If selected to a team:
- You will receive official confirmation from the coaching staff
- Instructions will be provided for season registration and payment setup
Please do not submit full season fees until you have received confirmation of team selection.
Import Players
Players from another association must:
- Provide a signed Permission to Skate form from their home center
- Complete the online tryout registration
Season Fees & Payment Information
- All season payments will be completed through RAMP
- Payment options include credit card, debit, and installment plans
- Players will not be permitted on the ice if payments are not up to date
Detailed breakdown of what registration fees include will be provided upon selection.
New for 2026/27: Additional ice time/dryland training has been built into team programming.
Out-of-Town Player Fee
An additional $75 fee per player applies to families living outside Stratford.
- This fee is set by the City of Stratford / Stratford Minor Sports Council
- There is no family maximum
- Must be paid at the time of team registration
