In Game 3 - Stratford brings their A game for big win against Stoney Creek 3-1

After a decent game that ended in a tie made their path to Sunday less clear, the Aces came out flying against the Stoney Creek Sabres.  Jillian Rossi, Lindy Downham and Julia Glitz set the tone from the opening faceoff taking the puck deep and showing the Sabres the Aces were ready to play.  Kaitlyn Green followed with a great chance and when the Sabres tried to respond, Gracie Neumeister was there to break up a potentially dangerous 2 on 1.  Adella Feller also showed she was on point with a tough deflection save to keep the score at zeros.  After another strong shift from Rossi, Downham and Glitz things were looking good, but somehow the Sabres broke free and surprised the Aces by taking the lead 1-0.    The Aces started the second on the powerplay and it was Lana Verellen who put the Aces on her back when they were maybe starting to get nervous and unloaded one of her shots from the blue line after some great skating that eluded the Sabres goaltender to tie the game at 1-1.   The Sabres continued a stretch of undisciplined play putting the Aces on the PP once again and after some more pressure, just missed breaking the deadlock as a shot slid under the goalie.  The Aces were soon on a 5 on 3 and it was Verellen again, leading the Aces from the back as she walked in and put a shot on net the goalie only got enough of but Avery Canal was there and found the twin and the Aces were up 2-1.  That combination would strike again shortly later as Lana and Canal combined with another rebound goal for Canal to put the game at 3-1.  That was all she wrote and the girls went back to the dressing room feeling good with Verellen and Canal to thank for leading the charge.>
