Aces route Oshawa Lady Generals 5-0
The Aces started strong and came out skating. Julia Glitz opened the scoring early with some nice passing from Emry MacIntosh and Kaitlyn Green as Glitz took the puck across the net taking the goalie with her and put a beautiful shot back to the right. The Aces kept up the pressure with a shot on net that Jillian Rossi was well positioned to knock home the rebound to make it 2-0. In the second period, a good shift from MacIntosh, Caley Michaels and Rossi set the tone and shortly after that Caley took a shot that hit the crossbar and Avery Canal was there to knock in the rebound for 3-0 Aces. Not long after, Olivia Wilemsen put the Aces up 4-0 with assists from Rossi and Green. The Aces ended the period with more pressure on the powerplay with sustained pressure from Canal, Michaels, MacIntosh, Paisley Stevens and Gracie Neumeister. A great pass from Liv to Emry to start the third but Emry's shot was denied. Green stole the puck at her own blue line and took it down ice. Her initial shot was saved but she stayed out front and hammered in her own rebound to make it 5-0 over the Lady Generals. Adella Feller didn't have a lot of action but had to be sharp at times and MacIntosh continued her excellent game by undressing a Lady General but couldn't get the shot past the Oshawa goalie.
