Notes
In game 2, the Aces faced Woolwich Wild. The Aces came out flat in this one and the Wild kept coming generating lots of chances so Feller had to be on her game early. A sketchy penalty call early put the Aces down a woman but they held the fort. However another penalty late on the Aces put them down again, but Olivia Willemsen and Julia Glitz killed the last 50 seconds of the period with some excellent PK work. The second started with Feller forced to make a save off the first faceoff and then on a tip as the Aces continued to be pressured by the Wild. Willemsen and Canal generated two of the few chances the Aces could get on the Wild goalie and Avery Kelly was playing strong in front of the Aces net to keep the wild at bay. But the barrage finally got the wild on the board after a nifty high shot past Feller put the wild up 1-0. The third started more of the same but the Aces started to skate a bit better and apply some pressure and eventually late in the third, Glitz yet again went end to end to put a low shot past the wild goalie into the far corner to tie the game 1-1. A bit of back and forth for the rest of the period but it was Milana Verellen who had the puck on her stick with 5 seconds to go, stepped in and launched a shot at the wild net as the Aces fans stood but the wild goalie was equal to the task and the game ended in a tie.
