Schedule & Results, Abtron Electric Peewee C, U13, 2019-2020 (Stratford Aces Girls Hockey)

The Peewee C Aces began their exhibition season tonight with a strong effort that resulted in a 1-0 victory over the Woodstock Wildcats.

The Aces started a little slow but soon found their legs and were able to carry the play for most of the game by using their strong puck possession game and relentless forecheck.

The overall team effort was excellent as the Aces were able to spend many shifts deep in the Woodstock end through a combination of aggressive forechecking and good decision making by the Aces defence.

The lone third period goal resulted from the sort of play that will define this team. Paige chased down the Woodstock D in the corner and created a turnover. She then fed the puck to Laura who was battling in the slot. Laura was able to get a solid shot on net that was stopped but resulted in a juicy rebound that Deirdre was able to poke into the net. Paige and Laura led an overall excellent team effort with their aggressive play.

Game #2 of our exhibition season is against West Oxford on Saturday, Sept 28 in Thamesford.
