Aces Make Time For Good Deeds on Busy Weekend

Aces Make Time For Good Deeds In Between Games last weekend.

The Turner Plumbing Peewee BB Aces were at it again filling another weekend with multiple games and Good Deeds! The Aces kicked off the weekend with a hard battled loss against the Kitchener Lady Rangers. The Rangers who have yet to lose a game this season thought they could walk all over the Aces. Little did they realize the Aces play with the whole hearts! Though the Aces lost 3-1, Skylar Fadelle’s beauty goal was the talk of the night. After working hard in prior practices on shooting Fadelle went high blocker past the Kitchener goalie. She was assisted by Victoria Campbell and Aveleen Flood.

On Saturday morning the girls were on a mission collecting food for a friendly food drive competition against the Peewee AA Stratford Warriors. The girls used their charm and their new found professional approach to sway customers into “considering” to supporting our food drive. The girls received an overwhelming response! They enjoyed wishing everyone a Merry Christmas, and spreading their good deeds to those who truly need kindness this time of year. Later in the day after their hard work, the Aces took to the ice to play the Woolwich Wild. The
Aces who have struggled with scoring goals were unable to get one in. They played a hard fought game, but the Wild came out on top 2-0. The Aces walked away with their heads held high knowing that the score did not reflect their efforts on the ice. The Aces then returned to Stratford raring and ready to go back to their Good Deeds mission number two of the day! Each of the Aces worked hard baking cookies over the past week. Each
of the team members added to numerous trays of yummy cookies. They were now ready for mission “Cookie Delivery”. The Aces drove around Stratford delivering their cookies to the Fire Fighters, EMS, SGH Emergency Staff and the Police. This Good Deed was to help recognize the people who work hard 24 hours a day 7 days a week, not to mention put their lives on the line to keep all of us safe! The girls brought cheer not only by delivering goodies, but also by singing a Christmas Carol for our Essential Service workers. The girls had an amazing time, and arrived back from the mission with huge smiles on their faces!

Onto Sunday…. the Aces made the long drive back to Woolwich. The sun was shining and the Aces knew today would be different from the rest of the games this weekend. The Aces took to the ice with a very physical presence. You could tell there was a bond that no one was messing with. The Aces dominated the game with a 3-0 win! Beautiful goals were scored by Aveleen Flood and Skylar Fadelle unassisted to make it 2-0. Kenleigh Soper saw the open net to get the third goal. All goals were recorded as unassisted, but we know there was lots of support by the whole team as this win was a complete team effort. Another shutout recorded for goaltender
Ella Gracey who continues to make spectacular saves in net! This was a great ending to a great weekend!
