Depth of Line up Help Novice B Battle Back
Come From Behind Tie Demonstrate Ace Resolve

The Aces rallied with teamwork and great passing Saturday morning in Seaforth to come from behind to tie the Huron Heat in their last exhibition before the regular season.
Coach Cameron took advantage of the final exhibition game to tweak his lineup but The Huron Heat took the game to the new look Aces in the first by lifting two shots in the Ace net putting the Heat up 2-0 before the new lineups could get used to each other. The Aces did eventually find their feet and the new look lineups began to show their worth in the new depth that they provided this young team. In the second, line mates Gianna Nickel connected with center Kiera Blain with a beautiful from behind the net pass to put the Aces on the board.  The Heat responded in kind and reaffirmed their 2 goal advantage quickly. That did not deter the Aces as not long later, Center Jule Cameron careened in from the wing on a break and blasted a shot behind the Heat net minder bringing the Aces within one again.  The Aces strength and new depth of their lineup began to show as on shift after shift the Aces pounded the Heat net to try to tie this game. Late in the third, with a Heat icing and with the coaches pulling Flanagan from the pipes, Ace gunners loaded up deep in the Heat zone ready to fire. The Aces won the face off and the puck found the stick of Linley Porter in the slot. She found the corner of the heat net to secure the tie with the extra girl on the ice.  For her gritty determined play Charlee MacFarlane earned herself offensive ace of the game while Leighton 'Boom Boom' Nickel threw her body around on Ace D to earn her Ace defender of the game.

The Regular season begins Next week as the LLFHL schedulers get to work this weekend to determine the Aces 2018-2019 division foes.
