Schedule & Results, Downie Optimist Midget A, 2017-2018 (Stratford Aces Girls Hockey)

The Downie Optimist Midget A Aces had a very successful week-end, collecting 4 points over 2 games. The Aces traveled to Orangeville on Saturday where they dominated the game and won 3-0. Marin Delaney netted her first of the season, while Nicole Cosgrove and Abby Gilchrist added one each. Kayley Thompson recorded the shut out in the Aces net. 
On Sunday the Aces played at home on "Aces Day" against the speedy Waterloo Ravens. Abby Debus made a hard drive to the net and knocked in her own rebound to put the Aces on the board. Cosgrove finished things off in the third period by scoring on the empty Waterloo net. Olivia Hunt recorded the shut out by playing a strong game in the Aces net, turning away 3 break away opportunities by Waterloo and making a number of other great saves.
