Peewee B Aces Fend Off Pesky Capitals In the third game of their round robin of the Orillia Girls Hockey Tourney the All Equip Peewee B Aces yet again met the North Simcoe Capitals. The Capitals came out strong. The Capitals scored the first goal of the game and the first to get by Emma Ivey in the tournament. This goal seemed to awaken the Aces and just 22 seconds later Mihret Eliasziw scored on a great feed from Adriana Danen. A very tight checking game by both teams kept things in doubt until the Aces put a goal behind the Capital keeper in the middle of the second and then added one more late in the same period. Scoring these goals were Faith Binns and Mihret Eliasziw. Binns’ marker was assisted by Jessica Rae and Jessie Hahn. Eliasziw was assisted by Holly Mailloux on a great individual effort to carry the puck in and put it on net. The third saw the Capitals pull the goalie with just under two minutes to go a put on a concerted effort to get the puck on net. On a breakout play Jessie Hahn and Chloe Bannon assisted on a deserved goal by Jessica Rae. Semi finals next on the schedule.
