Aces Ground The Jets In League play on Sunday afternoon in Ilderton the All Equip Peewee B Aces kept the Ilderton Jets off the scoreboard in a 3-0 victory. The entire team earned the shutout for Emma Ivey by never allowing the Jets to take flight. Allowing them just 6 shots on Ivey was key to the game plan. On the offensive side of the game taking 33 shots led to many great rebound chances. In the first period Holly Mailloux scored off some great set up work by Hailey Walsh and Mihret Eliasziw. The second period saw Faith Binns in her first game back after an extended absence (welcome back Binnsy) put the puck home on a great shot to the goalies right. Notching the assist was Mia Kuepfer. Putting the game away in the third on a great shorthanded and unassisted effort was Hailey Walsh. Throughout the game the Peewee B Aces defensive corp of Makena Kyer, Anika Akroyd-Snider, Jessica Rae, Adriana Danen, Amelie Saunders, and Lauren Steel placed the puck where it had to be for breakouts and steered the Jets to the outside.
