"Holy Mackinaw" - Aces & Stars Wow The Crowd
The Stratford Perth Auto Dismantlers Novice C's headed west again on January 15th, 2015 for a highly anticipated regular season game with the BCH Stars.
Fans were on the edge of their seats again in the battle of the counties and Joe Bowen could be heard in the air with his trademark "Holy Mackinaw".
The teams exchanged chances and created some memorable moments. Mr. Johnny Bower would have be grinning from ear to ear if he was witnessing the Ace's goal tending performance of Sienna Wildgust. She made timely saves to keep the Aces in the lead for most of the game. The Aces were able to obtain this lead on an unassisted goal from Addisyn Reinecker. A late breakdown in the third period allowed the Stars to breakout out on a 2 on 0 and put a rebound past Wildgust, to break the stellar performance. The Aces fought back hard to try and take the lead again but the game ended in a 1-1 tie. Notable mentions to forward McKenzie Parsons and defence Kyleigh Denstedt for a well played game.
