Sunday afternoon at home Stratford Best Western prevailed over second place Twin Centre Hericanes by a scoreof 2 to 1. In the first period Stratford had to kill off one power play. There were good chances for both teams with no scoring. In the second Best Western struck when Natalie Dale cleared the zone to Nicole McIntosh. Nicole fed Tina who tipped it pass the last defender at center ice and on the break away beat the goalie with a shot through the 5 hole. Best Western then had to kill off a power play. Shortly after they had a power play of there own and tallied there second goal. Mallory Petrie sent the puck to Laura Campbell at the point and her shot found its way into the back of the net. In the thord Twin Centre got on the scoreboard when they several uncontested chances in succcession in front of Best Western goalie Shaina Ecclestone and finally beat her. That was all they could get even by throwing an extra attacker in the last minute of play.
