Stratford Best Western the Parlour was victorious over Cambridge Roadrunners White on Sunday afternoon by a score of 4 to 1. Dispite playing with 2 players missing Best Western came out of a scoring drought. In the first period there was no scoring and Best Western survived a shorthanded situation. In period two Best Western started the pack rollinig. Jessica Wynne scored on a goalmouth scramble when she slipped the puck between the post and right pad of the Cambridge goalie. With the period ticking down Wynne got her second of the game in a carbon copy play. The thord frame saw Briar McLeod beat the Cambridge goalie with a perfectly placed shot in the left corner when the puck squirted to her off of the faceoff. Best Western received another infraction and Casmbridge scored on the ensueing powerplay. Cambridge weathered a shorthanded situation with 5 minutes left in the game. With just over a minute left in the game and Cambridge pressing with their goalie pulled, Mallory Petrie sealed the game with an empty net goal. The last minute got rather chippy and Best Western received 3 penalties to end the game.
