Atomic 1's Loose a Tight Battle. On Sunday the Stratford Atomic's hosted the league leading Cambridge RoadRunner Blacks. Right from the start the game was an end to end battle with the goaltenders dueling it out for superiority. The battle ensued until 1:04 was remaining in the second. At that point, Cambridge finally managed to put the puck behind Meg Feore on a scrambling goal. The goal against made Feore even more determined to shut down the RoadRunners and she turned away what seemed like a relentless Cambridge attack.   Unfortunately, Stratford could just not muster a goal and the game ended with the Stratford Atomic's dropping a hard fought 1-0 battle. Special credit goes to Sammy Orr who out muscled many opponents in David and Goliath game effort. Cambridge will not be so lucky next time.
