The Sirkel Foods Midget Aces edged out Hishons 2-1 in a Kitchener Local League semi Final game Monday night. Ali Graver opened the scoring midway through the 1st with a wrister from the top of the circle assisted by Claire Roulston. Brianna Glosnek came back with an unassisted effort only a min later to tie things up again. Several chances went unrewarded at each end including a Jayne Kirby shot that hit the goal post. Both Emily Strawbridge, for Sirkels and Katie Hall for were outstanding in net and it took until the final minute of ot when Taylor Groenestege finally solved Hall for the game winner. Taylor found herself wide open in front of the net after a cross ice pass from Lydia Mueller and put over a sprawling Hall to advance Sirkel Foods to the Championship game to be held Sunday at the Sportsworld Complex in Kitchener.
