The Best Western – Parlour bantam house league Aces ended up the Aces tournament with one tie and two losses. On Friday the Aces played Lucan Irish and lost 4-3. Early in the second period and being down 1-0 after the first period Brooke DeYoung made an end to end rush and scored to tie the game. In the third period and down by 1 goal again Fraser Tamas netted one to tie it assisted by Emily Stephan. Stratford then took the lead with Nicole McIntosh scoring with the helper also going to Stephan. Lucan scored 2 more late in the period to win the game.    Saturday morning the Aces played tournament winners Lasalle Sabercats and lost 5-1. The Aces battled hard and the game was scoreless after 2 periods. After LaSalle scored 2 goals early in the third, Madissen Daum scored to bring the Aces within one. Assists went to Katie Ganselves and Brianna Patterson. LaSalle scored 3 more to finish the game. Saturdays second game, the Aces tied Grand River Mustangs at 1 goal apiece. Scoring for Stratford was Ganselves assisted by Daum. Brittany Johnston was stellar in net. Along with the aformentioned girls Taylor Badley, Jessica Wynne, Natalie Dale, Janelle Gras, and Jillian Andress and Taylor Hotson all had strong games during the weekend.
