A Closing Note From The Annual Stratford Aces Tournament
A message to the Aces community,
I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone that was a part of the annual Stratford Aces tournament this weekend. The tournament was a huge success and we could not have done this without the participation from our entire parent base (u9 through u18), volunteers, coaches, trainers, managers, and the Aces executive team. The tournament spanned over 7 arenas, 87 teams, and over 200 games during the course of the weekend.
I personally want to thank Mr. Terry Soper for his tireless effort. This tournament is not just 3 days, it is months of planning and set up to ensure the 3 days of gameplay is successful. Terry was at the rink the second the arena opened, and did not leave until the final buzzer went each night. This effort was on full display as the tournament went off without a single hitch. Thank you Terry from all of us for this herculean effort.
To the players that participated, we want to thank you for bringing your passion, determination, and game play for every puck drop. I was lucky enough to see so many games this weekend. The state of girl’s hockey is in a great place based off the skill level I was able to witness. You should all be very proud of your accomplishments.
A very special shout out to the U13A and U13BB Stratford Aces that captured gold on their home ice. Not an easy task!
To close the tournament, we would like to thank everyone that participated on and off the ice this weekend. We hope to see you all next year for the 2023/2024 Stratford Aces Tournament.
Sincerely,
Sean M.R. Cameron
President, Stratford Aces
