Novice Program
Submitted By Jan Ballantyne on Thursday, April 11, 2019
The Stratford Girls Hockey Association is pleased to offer the Novice Development Program for the 2019-20 Season. Following the Hockey Canada model, practice ice will be split into half ice. The purpose is to introduce the basic skills of the game, and make a child’s first introduction to the game one that is safe, enjoyable, and fun. This is a great opportunity for novice age girls to play with girls only with minimal travel. Due to OWHA regulations this program is for 7 and 8 year olds only (2011 and 2012). Underage players are not permitted.

The cost for this new program is $450. That said, as this is the first year for the program, the Ace's organization would like to encourage new players to join and will provide each player with a $50 signing bonus discount if registering for spring tryouts. To register for spring tryouts please see our Tryout page at Tryout Information
