Bantam A's win Bronze in Cambridge
The Accumetal Bantam A Aces won 2-0 against the Brampton Canadettes on Sunday to earn the bronze medal at the Cambridge Roadrunners Annual New Years Tournament. On Friday of the tournament, Stratford faced off against  2 teams from the Lower Lakes Female Hockey League Toronto West Division.

They lost to the  Canadettes by the same 2-0  score, and tied the top team Stoney Creek Sabers a 0’s. Both games were hard fought and the Aces had their chances but could not find the back of the net.  Saturday, Stratford needed a win to guarentee a place to the medal games against LLFHL Toronto East division North York. In the back and forth game there were many chances at both ends of the ice. At 2:41 of the 3rd period Laura Skinner found the back of the net which proved to be the game winner Assisting on the goal were Nicole Crowley and Leah Matthews.  Megan Jesse earned her second shutout of the tournament with superb goaltending.  Saturday night Stoney Creek again was the opponent for the semi-finals. The game was one of the best played from the girls and had spectacular goaltending at both ends of the ice.  After a scoreless first 2 periods,  the Sabers were able to beat Stratford net-minder Creasyn Jordan on a hard low shot. The Aces had many chances including hitting the post twice but were not able to get the equalizer. Stoney Creek scored again on an empty net with ½  second left in the game to make it 2-0.  With Sunday’s game the Aces were going to win the game with their never quit attitude and determination, and attacked the Canadettes all game long. They were rewarded in the second period as Laura Skinner found the back of the net unassisted. The score stayed that way until game MVP Tessa Deighton scored unassisted on an empty net to make it 2-0.  Another strong game for Creasyn Jordan earned the shutout and avenged the  loss of the first game against Brampton. In addition to the players mentioned the coaching staff would like to congratulate Erin Kuepfer, Anna Mohr, Halle Blowes, Laura Chapman, Carly Plain, Kaitlyn Mathieson, Megan Rauser, Abby Debus, Madeline Corrie, and call up players Allison Zimmerman and Faith Wojik.
