🎓 Stratford Aces Grad Spotlight: Devan Taylor 🏒✨
🔥 Graduating From: U18 BB
🏡 Hometown: Stratford, ON
🛡 Position: Defence
💙 Favourite Memory as an Ace: Every game, before hitting the ice, the team would huddle, arms around each other, belting out Closer by The Chainsmokers. That song became more than just music—it became a symbol of the family built within the team.
💡 What Being an Ace Taught Her:
Leadership, teamwork, and the true meaning of family—because family isn’t just about blood, it’s about the people who support you no matter what.
😂 Funniest Team Moment:
During provincials, Coach Jamie promised the team if they made it, they could shave his beard. Safe to say, that was all the motivation needed! The dressing room was filled with laughter as each player took a turn with the razor, leaving behind only patches of hair.
💭 Advice for Younger Aces:
There will be tough moments—whether it's not making the team you hoped for or struggling with a skill—but being an Ace is an experience you'll never forget. Cherish the mentors, friendships, and memories along the way.
🎓 Future Plans:
Heading to university to pursue a concurrent degree in English and Education, with the goal of becoming an elementary school teacher. After finishing school, Devan hopes to return to the Aces as a coach—giving back to the next generation of players and being the female mentor she wished she had growing up.
Congrats, Devan! 🎉 Your Aces family is so proud of you! 💙🏒
