The Stratford Aces are thrilled to announce Josh Willemsen
as the Head Coach for the U15 A team for the 2025-26 season. Josh has been a key
part of the Aces organization for the past seven years, serving as an assistant
coach and demonstrating constant commitment to player development, team
culture, and the overall success of the program.
Josh’s coaching philosophy is rooted in creating a fun, creative, and inclusive learning environment that provides equal opportunities for all players to grow. “Youth sports are about more than just skill development,” Josh explains. “They’re about fostering mutual respect, self-discipline, and a love for the game in a supportive and encouraging atmosphere.”
He emphasizes the importance of patience, positivity, and adaptability in helping players reach their full potential. By highlighting achievements and building on each success, Josh creates an environment where players feel confident and motivated to continue growing.
Josh also understands the value of team bonding and camaraderie in building a cohesive and resilient group. He encourages frequent off-ice activities in neutral settings to foster connections among players and strengthen the team dynamic. “When players trust and support one another, it creates a foundation for success both on and off the ice,” Josh adds.
