Notes
In Game 1 of their pool games U11A faced off against a London Devilettes. It got off to a rough start after a bad bounce resulted in an own goal and a great snipe quickly put the Aces down 2-0. The Aces quickly regained their composure and started to skate like they can and pressure the Devilettes all over the ice. It wasn't long before Julia Glitz beat 3 players after stealing the puck at her own blue line to get Stratford on the board. A little while after that Emry MacIntosh used some slick hands to get in for a backhand shot that was saved but Caley Michel was there for the rebound for her first goal of the year to tie it at 2-2. The second period started with a great shift from Kaitlyn Green, Jillian Rossi and Keatyn Bell to keep the momentum gained in the first. Milana Verellen and Paisley Stevens had strong periods on D. Rossi almost broke in alone at the end of the second but was taken down for a tripping penalty. The Aces started the third on the PP and a scrum in front of the London goal and Avery Canal would not be denied and knocked it in for a 3-2 lead for the Aces. After Verellen was taken down with a trip it was Adella Feller that had to make the biggest save of the ensuing PP on a short handed chance to keep the lead. London threw everything they had at the Aces but Feller stood tall and Verellen had a memorable shift where she single handedly kept the puck in the London zone late and the Aces started with a W.
