The Rod Smith Financial Novice B Aces have continued their success in the regular season after a hard fought path the semi final in the Aces Festival Cup.

The girls hosted the Guelph Jr Gryphons Friday evening at the Molson rink where the Ace coaching staff juggled the lines to try to find new chemistry for the Ace offensive units. Chloe Schultz responded to the change nabbing a pair with the help of her new line mates Gianna Nickel and Jule Cameron against a hot Gryphon goal tender who refused to allow the Aces to run away with the lead with in spite of the Ace's high possession game.  Reese Flanagan kept the score sheet clean while Leighton 'Boom Boom' Nickel opened up the ice with a penalty to allow the space for Ace  O of the game Chloe Schultz' second short handed goal. Avery Stokes' stalwart blue line work earned her the Ace D of the game.

The Aces hosted the Waterloo Ravens Sunday morning to try to keep their standing near the top in the LLFHL Central West.  With a few games in hand the Woolwich wild remain on top of the division with  the Sabres, Ravens and Aces nipping on their heels to challenge them for the top of the division.  The game proved to be a grind out between two divisional contenders. Coach Cameron said the effort to contain the Ravens and push back at them came equally from all 16 skaters.  Boom Boom Nickel's defensive effort earned her Ace of the game while Reese Flanagan's clean score sheet now extends to an amazing 96 minutes of league play. Neither team were able to solve each team's hot goaltender closing the game out to a scoreless draw.
