NotesThe Accumetal Bantam A Aces rallied back after a slow start at the London Devilettes tournament this past week-end. The Aces played the host Devilettes for their first game on Friday and after a strong first period, let the wheels fall off and lost the game 4-2. Sydnie Miller had a good game for the Aces, netting both goals. In their second game on Friday the Aces were slotted against the Syracuse Valley Eagles, a strong and fast American team. The Aces, Megan Bailey scored Stratford's only goal mid way through the second. Unfortunately, a defensive breakdown allowed the Eagles to drive to the net on a breakaway late in the game to tie the score at 1-1. The Aces then met the Oakville Hornets, is a must win game on Saturday. Lily Daum netted the only goal of the game for either team giving Stratford the lead in the first period. Both teams fought hard, however Stratford held off Oakville to earn the two points. Unfortunately, it was not enough to advance the Aces into the playoff round.
