Schedule & Results, Dunny's Source for Sports Peewee BB, U13, 2013-2014 (Stratford Aces Girls Hockey)

The Dunnys Source for Sports PeeWee BB Aces took 4 out of a possible 6 points this past weekend to end their regular season league play. The Aces travelled to Cambridge on Friday night and battled to a 1-1 tie. Madison Smith scored the lone goal for the Aces. On Sunday the girls travelled to Woolwich and faced the Woolwich Wild. Both teams played strong games and settled for a 0-0 tie. Megan Arnold recorded the shut out for Stratford. On Monday the Aces played their final regular league game and despite a slow start, pulled out a 3-1 victory. The Aces were troubled with penalties through out the game, but pulled through. Abby Gilchrist banged in the first Stratford goal mid way through the second period. Lily Daum followed up with the second goal banging in a rebound from Stacey Shackelton, and then Mikayla Flanagan fired a beautiful top shelf rocket to seal the win. Ella Wouters played strong in the Stratford net. The four point weekend secured a 5th position spot in league play, setting the Aces up to play Wilmot in the first round of playoffs.
