Tough Loss in Home Opener
The Stratford Egg Farmers Atom A Aces finally
played their first home game of the 2015-2016 campaign on Thanksgiving Monday
losing a close game to the West Huron Wave. Possibly a little too much turkey
over the weekend resulted in the girls starting a little slow but they kicked
it into second gear playing much better second and third periods. Both Keira
Akey and Mia Morris played an excellent game in net giving the girls a chance
to get a couple of goals back. Belle Houle and Hailey Scott played very strong
defensive games while Avery Nickel and Ella Van Bakel showed good hustle on the
offence side but the girls just couldn’t put one past a good Wave goalie.
