The Aces go into Kitchener for a 2-1 Road win
The Aces travelled to Kitchener to face the Lady Rangers and started strong as usual. The first big play of the game was Avery Canal working down low and getting the puck back to Lana Verellen who got a great shot off but hit the post. Emry MacIntosh displayed some slick skills by making a sweet move just inside the blue line to dangle past the defense and got a shot off but was turned away. Shortly later though the Aces were on the board with Canal to Julia Glitz who roofed it to put the girls up 1-0. Canal then continued her strong game by breaking in 2 on 1 with Glitz and slid the puck over to her and Glitz fired, but just wide. Liv Willemsen then won a key faceoff to Caley Michaels who got the puck to Katelyn Green but the Lady Rangers goalie was equal to the task yet again. Despite the Aces dominance of the flow of play, the Lady Rangers found a bit of a momentum boost when they had a bit of slick skating and finished it off, roofing it past Feller to make it 1-1. The Aces weren't to be deterred however and kept skating and shooting. Jillian Rossi broke in alone, deked but was denied by the goalkeeper's outstretched leg. Then Paisley Stevens did what she's been doing great all year, kept the puck in at the blue line and got it towards the net. Katelyn Green dug the puck out of the ensuing chaos and put it up high in the basket to put the Aces back out front 2-1. The Aces had one last great chance with Canal dishing to Rossi but Rossi was stymied again by the tender and the game ended 2-1.
