The Aces, celebrating Aces day, hosted the Kitchener Lady Rangers at home.
The girls started out strong with a super opening shift by Katelyn Green, Avery Canal and Olivia Willemsen with Green just missing an open net after a flurry of chances.  With the Aces controlling play, a mix up allowed the Lady Rangers to break in on almost a 2 on 0 but Avery Kelly hustled back to break up the play with a burst of speed.   The Aces however went down to 4 girls after a penalty but Adella Feller made an outstanding save that she had to be sharp on despite not a lot of action in the first.  Liv Willemsen finished off the period showing her 1 on 1 skills beating two players to go in alone and put the Aces up 1-0.In the second, the Aces continued to generate chances, and on a bouncing puck type of play with sticks swinging and puck getting knocked around, Green hunted it down following it and put it into the net for a 2-0 lead for the Aces.  After a turnover, the Lady Rangers unleaded a high hard shot but Feller was equal to the shot with a huge glove save to keep them off the board.  Canal then almost broke in alone but got taken down and the Aces went to the power play.  Milana Verellen took the opportunity of the girl-advantage to unleash a shot that deflected off a stick past the Lady Rangers goalie for a 3-0 lead.  However after an unfortunate bounce shortly later, Kitchener let loose a quick shot off the turnover to get on the board that Feller didn't have much chance on.In the third Adella had to be ready for another chance to keep the Lady Rangers 2 down but with a little pressure, the Lady Rangers managed to get off a shot from a scrum and they tapped the rebound into the net after a Feller save.  Verellen finished the game with yet another huge rush but the Lady Rangers goalie kept them close with a huge save and the game finished with a W for the aces 3-2.
