Notes
The Stratford Senior B Lady Aces faced the Upper Maitland Mustangs in Gorrie on Friday night. With a short squad comprised mostly of defensive aptitude, the Aces were down early. At the end of 2 periods Upper Maitland led 6-1. The Aces lone goal came from Lauren Lorenz, much to the delight of her spectating family. However, Stratford would not be sent home without a fight. The Lady Aces put up 4 unanswered goals in the third to bring them within 1 with 5 minutes remaining. Laura Anderson had 2 goals in the effort with Wilhelm and Bannon adding singles. Stratford pushed for the tie pulling their goalie, unfortunately Upper Maitland put up an empty netter to finish the game at 7-5. Stratford looks to return to their winning ways when they face the Twin Centres Hericanes tomorrow night at home.
