After a long two years, the wait was finally over for the Bantam A's at their first regular season game in Blenheim, facing the Chatham Kent Crush.
A sluggish start for the Aces, Chatham opened the scoring early. The Aces evened it up with a goal from Emery Cook from Jessie Horan and Mckenzie Parsons. With 2 minutes remaining in the first, the Crush once again took the lead on a goal caused by a neutral zone turnover. Chatham widened the score early in the second to 3-1. The second and third periods were well played by the Aces but they couldn't overcome some good puck bounces for Chatham, resulting in their first loss of the season. Final score, 3-1 Chatham.
