The Aces responded to a tough loss on Saturday by bringing their A game on Sunday. Peyton V was excellent a both ends of the ice, limiting the Wallaceburg offense to only a handful of chances and setting up a great goal by Cassidy in the slot. Steph filled in on D as well and was also very effective with some great outlet passes and timely pinches.
The rest of the Aces got back to their very aggressive forechecking style and it paid off with a number of excellent scoring chances. Deirdre opened the scoring by knocking in a rebound after a great forechecking shift. Cassidy had the second goal, putting a well-placed shot in the bottom corner off of a feed from Peyton V. The third Aces goal was a great end to end rush by Katelynn, finishing with a great wrist shot to the top corner.
Peyton BK had another strong game in net and Rachael and Rylee both had solid games at both ends of the ice.
