Peewee C Aces finish the weekend strong with their 3rd straight win!
The Aces started strong and played a constant up-tempo game that resulted in a 3-0 win over the previously undefeated South Huron Sabres.
The Aces mostly controlled the play as we got back to playing "Aces" hockey. Aggressive forechecking and puck pursuit resulted in a number of turnovers. Paige led the charge with her speed and non-stop puck pressure, constantly creating turnovers and opportunities for her linemates and getting 2 assists.
Peyton was a brick wall in net today, posting another shutout. She made several great saves on grade A scoring chances by South Huron while the Aces worked to solve the Sabres goaltending. The Aces defence again played a good all-around game, keeping the Sabres to the outside and protecting Peyton.
The offense was led by the line of Deirdre, Laura and Abby with each of them netting a goal. Abby's was a great shorthanded effort and she and Laura pressured the Sabres into a turnover and converted it into a goal.
