A Four Point Week The Cooper Standard Bantam A Aces picked up 4 points from the the North Halton Twisters this past week. A trek down the 401 last Tuesday night ended in a 5–0 win for the Aces. The scoring started in the first period when Ella VanBakel potted one with help from Dayna Thompson. Neave Goris sent one of her own into the back of the net to put the Aces up 2-0 after one. Into the second period, Eve Grieg scored two with help from Sadie MacArthur, Hailey Zurell and Olivia Sim. A final goal was scored at the end of the second by Hailey Zurell, assisted by Eve Greig. The third period was scoreless and the two points were given to the Aces. Carley Goos recorded the shutout. Back down the 401 for a second time on Saturday to face the Twisters once again. This time our goalie, Mia Morris was tested over and over before our Aces got their legs going!! The Aces struck first when Eve Grieg scored unassisted. The Aces then scored two more times in the second...Eve Grieg from Hailey Zurell and Anna Tigani from Meg Feore...before the Twisters added one of their own! The Aces replied with a fourth goal before the second period ended... Ashley Radford from Ella VanBakel. With a 4-1 lead going into the third, the Aces were in the driver’s seat! The third period was uneventful except for some great saves made by our goalie, Mia Morris! The Aces stole another two points from the Twisters! A great week for the Aces!
