Trouble on the Road...
Submitted By Melissa MacArthur on Saturday, October 12, 2019
The Bantam A Aces suffered a couple of tough losses over the past two games.

The first game took place last Sunday in Teeswater. The Aces scored first as Ashley Radford put her own rebound in to put the Aces up. However, the Lightning struck three times in the second to go ahead 3-1. The Aces regrouped in the third and added another marker. Eve Greig, with help from Sadie MacArthur, put one past the Saugeen goalie to pull within one goal. It was not meant to be, however, as the game ended and the Lightning handed the Aces their first loss, 3-2.

On Friday night the girls travelled to Cambridge to face the Roadrunners. The first period started slowly for the Aces as they were down 2-0 in the first 10 minutes. The Roadrunners were a strong, quick and skilled team who did not hold back! They went up 4-0 after two periods of play. Our Aces regrouped in the third and held the Roadrunners scoreless. At the 10 minute mark, Eve Greig sent a puck to the net which deflected off a skate to put the Aces on the board. However, this was as close as the girls were going to get! The game ended in a 4-1 loss. Keep your chin up, girls...the season is young!
