TFS P-BB Tuesday exhibition vs Devilettes
The Taylor Fluid Systems Peewee BB Aces played an out of the ordinary exhibition game on Tuesday evening against the London Devilettes (minor) Peewee A team. The Aces would have their work cut out for them as they were missing two forwards, a defense and one of their two goalies to the flu. The Aces pulled up Deirdre Parsons and Stephanie Tsaltas to help out with the battling duties; and a huge help they were. Sloan Cameron was between the pipes for this game; not only because it was her turn but also because she was the only goalie not sick. Cameron played an excellent game making key saves to give the Aces the eventual win.

The First period didn’t start as drawn up by the coaches as the Devilettes scored just a minute and a half into the period. This was a screen shot from the slot the Cameron just simply didn’t see – if she would have, there is a really good chance it would not have gone in. It didn’t take long for the Aces to get their feet underneath them and start battling. Three minutes after the Devilettes goal Paige Campbell skated the puck down the boards battling past their defensegirl, once she was deep enough Campbell passed the puck out to Josephine Jarmuth who had the easy job of tapping the puck into the net to tie the game. The next three Aces goals were all the second period. First one was by Josephine Jarmuth, she skated the puck down the boards, cut in at about the faceoff dot and delivered a hard shot at the bottom of the circle which slipped through the goalie’s equipment to give the Aces the lead and eventual game winner. The next goal was from Kara Rolph, she was just coming off the bench and recognized a shot was being delivered from Kylie Fifield from the point. Rolph went straight to the net. Fifield’s shot created a rebound and Rolph was there to put’er home. The third goal of the period, fourth of the game was scored by Jarmuth again. She skated the puck down the boards, and instead of shooting this time she crossed the crease waited out the goalie and slid the puck past the sprawled-out goalie to put the Aces up 4-1. The third period seen good battles, excellent backchecking and a bunch of stellar saves from Cameron to keep the Devilettes at only one goal for the game. A huge thanks to Parsons and Tsaltas for their contribution to the Aces win. Well done girls!
