Aces get bit by the Wildcats
The Taylor Fluid Systems Peewee Girls played their third game in as many days on Monday night. They traveled to Woodstock to challenge the Wildcats on their home rink. After taming them on Saturday to get their first win of the pre-season, this game did not play out as the Aces would have  liked and were probably anticipating. The Wildcats took advantage of being in their home barn; having their claws, they scratched their way to a victory giving the Ace their first loss of the pre-season.

Sloan Cameron started this game between the pipes, focused and ready to play. The girls were having trouble get the puck out of the defensive zone most of the first period. With four minutes remaining in the first, Josephine Jarmuth got control of the biscuit, passed it to an open Aveleen Flood who made no mistake, skating the puck from one end of the rink to the other, head up, feet moving, absolutely freezing the goalie with a hard shot on the ice picking the five hole scoring the first goal of the game and Floody's first of the season. It didn’t take long for the Wildcats to bite back, getting a tying goal with just 14 seconds left in the first. Cameron remained strong in net keeping the Aces in the game by denying shot after shot trying her best to keep the Aces in the game. The game remained tied at one a piece until late in the third when the Wildcats snuck one by to give them the win and the Aces their first taste of a loss.
