First Full Ice Tournament
The Sit Pretty Custom Grooming Novice White team had a very successful first full ice tournament winning all four games with not a single goal scored against them.

The first game the team was matched up against Huron Heat.  It was a closely matched first period with the Aces getting a goal from Elliott Berg assisted by Julia Glitz and Myla Burdett.  The girls pushed hard and came away with two more goals to make the final score 3-0.  Goals were scored by Myla Burdett and Julia Glitz with an assist to Elyn Hannon.  The second game was a nail bitter against Wilmot Wolverines on the game sheet but the Aces had many chances.  The score ended 1-0.  Jessica Blake scored the loan goal with assists to Reece Campbell and Myla Burdett.  The Aces travelled back on Saturday to play two more exciting games.  The first game was against Clearview Icecats.  The Aces came away with a 5-0 win.  Milana Verellen lead the attack with a hat trick.  Olivia Willemsen and Brooke Stairs also added goals.  Assists in this game were given to Julia Glitz, Ashley VanStaaten and Myla Burdett.  Lilly Harrigan earned another shut out in net.  After a game of ten pin bowling, the girls headed back to the rink to play against Markham-Stouffville Stars.  They came away with another 5-0 win.  Lilly Harrigan held tight in net for her fourth shut out of the tournament, making a killer glove save in the third period.  Ashley VanStraaten started the scoring picking off her own rebound, assisted by Milana Verellen.  Then Reece Campbell went to work scoring three goals in a row with assists going to Avree Marshall.  Milana Verellen finished off the score with two minutes left, unassisted.  The defensive crew of Myla Burdett, Ava Langis, Edie Murray and Elyn Hannon played strong all weekend, keeping the puck in at the blueline and clearing our zone. What a great start to the second half of the season and full ice hockey.
