The Downie Optimist Midget A Aces started their regular season with a win and a loss. The girls played both games on the road starting with 2-1 win against the North Halton Twisters. Ally Muir and Natalie Wilhelm scored for Stratford while Kayley Thompson played a strong game in net. On Sunday, the girls travelled to Guelph to play the Junior Gryphons. The late night game and travel the night before took a tool on Stratford and they fell 2-0.
