Schedule & Results, Dunny's Source for Sports Atom C, U11, 2018-2019 (Stratford Aces Girls Hockey)

The Dunny's Source for Sports Atom C Aces were shutout for the 2nd time in as many days against the Belmont Blazers, 2-0. The Aces had many offensive opportunities but the Blazers goalie turned away shot after shot. After going down 1-0 the Aces appeared to tie it up when rookie Cassidy Nelemans banged in a loose puck. The referee however had lost sight of the puck and blew the play down just as Nelemans shot the loose puck in. The combination of a goal against and a disallowed marker fired the girls up. Despite the extra effort and more chances the Aces failed to convert their efforts into goals. Final score was 2-0 for the Blazers. The girls will refocus over the next week with a series of practices and then test themselves in their first WOGHL game of the year vs host Mitchell on October 11th.
