Taylor and Iacobellis Each Score a Hat Trick in Win Over Ice Cats
The Dunny’s Source for Sports Atom C Stratford Aces travelled to Brantford last Saturday, and closed out the opening segment in Western Ontario Girls Hockey League (WOGHL) with a 10-0 win over the Branford Ice Cats.

Paige Taylor and Abby Iacobellis each scored a hat trick in the win.  The offensive breakout saw nine different Aces register a point, with three defencemen scoring a goal.  Adele Helson scored her first goal of the year after managing to get several shots on net from the point, all on the same shift!  Peyton Barclay and Rachel Barber each scored on end to end rushes, while Krista McMahon also netted a goal early in the game. Assists we led by a pair from Taylor, with singles by Iacobellis, Barber, McMahon, Maeve Moss, Brinlee Wall and Cassie Richardson. The Aces finished near the top of their division for the opening segment, posting a 5-0-1 record.  The girls will host the Lucan Irish Sunday at 2:15pm this Sunday as part of Aces day and the first game of the WOGHL regular season. Remember to bring a non-perishable food item to donate to the Stratford House of Blessing.
