Proposed Constitutionals Changes
The following changes to the Constitution have been proposed and will be voted on at the AGM Tuesday June 5th at 6:00 Rotary Complex.



Proposal of having up to 5 director members
  

Article 3: Affiliation:

I would like to include that we are affiliated with Hockey Canada as well as OWHA.

Article 4: Board of Directors:

1.    I would like to change "Objectives" to read "Duties"

2.    I would like to add to the list of directors "Director(s) at Large"

Article 4.2: Duties of Directors:

Treasurer - remove item (e) - Shall keep records of all Nevada transactions and be responsible for all related correspondence.

Secretary - remove item (e) - Shall secure annual quotations from a minimum of two licensed bus companies and submit to the Board of Directors for approval prior to the commencement of league play.

Special Events Coordinator - remove "Can be held by one person or a committee) and replace with "1 or 2 persons may jointly hold this position and share the duties listed below, each as a voting member"......also remove "shall organize the annual Aces tournament" from duties.....not sure where to add this in or if we need to create a "Tournament Director" position.....

House League Convener - remove item (i) - A convener cannot be appointed to his child's team

Rep Convener - remove item (f) - A convener cannot be appointed to his child's team

Article 5 - Meetings:

Revise 5th paragraph to read "There must be seven voting members present to form a quorum".

Revise 8th paragraph to read "All SGHA Board members - excluding any member who receives an honorarium or fee for their service - will be entitled to one vote at all general and annual meetings. There will be no proxy voting. You must attend to vote.
