NotesThe
following morning, on a beautiful, sunny morning, FINALLY back at home in
Stratford, the girls took on the London Devilettes in their final game of the
week.
The
Devilettes, itching for the chance to record a win heading into playoffs, came
out guns-a-blazing, starting the scoring off with a rebound goal in the first,
taking the score to a 1-0 point.
The
remainder of the period went by in a blur of passing and dangles until late in
the second, winger Jada
Houban, on an assist from winger Eve Binns and
centreman, Emersyn
Miller, dug deep to come up with a goal, evening the game
at 1-1.
Deciding
the game really shouldn’t end in a tie, Emersyn Miller, brought the Aces ahead by
1, on another unassisted goal early in the third. The Devilettes, came back a
few minutes later, to tie up the game, 2-2.
The
Devilettes pulled their goalie and brought their super-fan, but neither could
solidify their win, and the teams split the points with a tie, 2-2.
Next up
for the Aces, a tournament on the 18th of January in Cambridge.
