NotesThe
third and final instalment saw the girls going up against another team named
after an angry cat, the Woodstock Wildcats. This game was intense, requiring
incredible skill, focus and on point goal tending. We came with all three and
in a nail-biting finish, not unlike the best of the very best trilogies, with
only 1 minute left in the third period, Emersyn Miller landed a goal in the
net, on an assist from winger, Ella Taylor.
Unfortunately, pulling their goalie would not see the Wildcats
able to tie it up, and Grace Kipfer recorded her second shut-out of as many
games, finding the puck before it ever had a chance of landing in the net.
Next up for the girls is a re-match with Saugeen Maitland
Lightening on Sunday, October 28th on home ice.
