A tough loss ends a busy weekend for the Sit Pretty Custom Grooming Novice C Aces
Today in Novice C Aces action the girls faced off against the St. Thomas Panthers.
Both teams got off to a great start battling hard for the puck. Olivia Willemsen, Reese Campbell, and Averee Marshall all put solid pressure on the St. Thomas goalie with no avail. St. Thomas jumped to a 3-0 lead when they capitalized on a couple of puck bounces which went in their favour.
Mira Broughton scored a hardworking goal in the third period to put the Aces on the board but it just wasn’t enough.
Jillian Rossi and Julia Glitz played key roles in keeping the St. Thomas Panthers to only three goals by playing tough defence. Hard work by Averee Marshall earned her the 'Ace of the Game'.
The Aces face-off against North Middlesex next Sunday at 11 am.
