Twisters Roll Through Aces Sunday Afternoon
In the last of a grueling back to back to back three game weekend the aces finished with their heads high and their will even stronger.
In Georgetown and against a deep Halton Twister team the aces legs pushed through a tough team to finish their weekend schedule. Cadence McKee battled hard against Halton in the corners while the strength of the defensive and game MVP Adele Helson helped goal keeper Pippa Nyenhuis minimize the Twister threat. Reese Flanagan kept up her gritty play on offense showing with her teammates that the offensive zone is never a safe place for their opponents.
Aces team spirit was vocal from players, coaches and road fans before, during and after this exhibition defeat. Perseverance, drive and spirit is definitely becoming the trademark of this group of young athletes.
Along with practice for all the girls some Novice C Aces will attend goalie clinics held this week by the organization. The team hosts Ilderton Saturday at the Rotary Complex.
