Good Game, but a Tough Loss.
The Dunny's Source for Sports PeeWee A team headed down to London for the first of four matches against the major's team this season.

We knew this was one of the top teams in the league, as they are unbeaten so far this season, but the girls were up for the challenge.
They hit the ice and were ready to play from the drop of the puck.  The first period was good with fairly even play back and forth, and a 0-0 score when it ended.
In the second it was the Aces that found the net first.  After Chandler "Chan" Smith got the puck to Sadie MacArtur, Sadie moved to the right side of the ice and fired a high shot up and over the goalies shoulder. The team was excited for their team's first goal of the regular season.  However, London was quick to respond and 40 seconds later put up their first goal of the contest after a scramble in front of our net. London would again find the net before the end of the period.
The third started 2-1 for London, but the girls were determined to fight their way back into this game.  This determination was put on hold as the ref missed a call and Keira "KD" Deitz was tripped behind the net losing the puck. This ended in another London goal.  We told the girls before the game, "don't worry about the score, just keep working hard out there", so that is what they did.  They gave themselves some chances to get a goal back, but just as we were less than halfway through a power play the game was called due to a curfew time that London puts on all their games! You have to love(or hate) playing in London!!
The final score was 3-1, but the coaches and the girls definitely feel they played well and are ready for a rematch next Sunday.
