Notes
The Taylor Fluid Systems Atom B Aces leave the weekend behind with 2 points added to their standings and recording their first league win. The Aces beat the Belmont Blazers on Sunday 3-0 and lost to the Lakeshore Lighting on Saturday in two exciting hockey games. The Atom B parents traveled to the other side of Ontario on Saturday to cross sticks with the first place Lakeshore Lighting. The Aces were down two players, so some changes were made to the lines. Devan Taylor and Lila Mortimer were moved to forward positions leaving Peyton Barclay, Rachael Barber, Bronwyn Hawkins and Grace Laverty to stay strong and solid in the defensive fort. Ava Neumeister performed great in net stopping over 20 shots with at least 5 point blank breakaways by Lakeshore. One memorable moment was her pad stop on the left side of the net followed by a full out lunge and paddle stop on the right side a split second later! It was a rough and tumble game but the Aces made the Coaches proud by staying strong and in the game the entire time.
