Weekend of Hockey
The Taylor Fluid Systems Atom B Aces finished off an action packed weekend of hockey with three games in four days, earning 1 point and lots of experience!

Thursday night saw the Aces face off against the B.A.D. Blazers. The first and third periods were scoreless but the trio Katie, Abby and Katelynn scored in the second when Abby Iacobellis found the goalie’s weak spot on a pass from Katelynn McMahon. The Blazers tied it up at the end of the 2nd. Neither team was able to pull ahead even through some great efforts by the rest of the squad. Ava Neumeister’s hard work paid off earn the tie.

Saturday and Sunday games were both at home.  Unfortunately the Taylor Fluid Systems Atom B Aces were not able to record and wins for the home town crowd. But as mentioned above, gained some experience with positional changes due to a shorter roster.

Saturday’s game was against the London Devilettes. The Devilettes started the scoring but was soon countered by a goal at the end of the 1st by Anne Nickel, assisted by Abby Iacobellis and Paige Campbell. This was the only goal to be scored by the Aces and London pulled ahead with another goal 2 mins into the third. Great efforts by all girls, especially Sloan Cameron in net and Anne Nickel, Katie Helson and Lila Mortimer on center.

Sunday had the Taylor Fluid Systems Atom B Aces host the Lucan Irish. The girls worked hard but could not overcome the Irish who won the game 3-0.

The Aces play London again on Oct 28th @ the London Sports Park. Game time is 11:15 am.
