Aces Finish off Tournament Weekend with 1-3 record
The Taylor Fluid Atom B Aces finished off there weekend tournament
in Etobicoke with some hard battles and close games but unfortunately couldn’t add
another win for this tournament.
Game 2 vs. the Whitby Wolves went scoreless until the last 30 seconds of the game when Whitby squeaked one in. Our girls played strong and created many opportunities, they just couldn’t put one past the Wolves net minder. MVP of this game went to Sloan Cameron with MVP for game one going to Stephanie Tsaltas.
Game 3 vs. Gloucester Stars was a tough and humbling affair. Our girls held their heads high and battled to the end. Coach Greg let them know how proud he was that they didn’t give up and stayed in the game until the final buzzer. MVP for this game went to Ava Neumeister.
Game 4 vs. the Burlington Barracudas ended as a 3-1 loss for Stratford. Devan Taylor scored in the second period on an assist from Anne Nickel to end a two game scoreless streak for the Aces. As with previous games our girls created many opportunities to score with passing, digging and corner battles. The goals will come!
Overall it was a great weekend of hockey, laughter, swimming, pizza and stuffies, that allow the girls and parents to create great friendships and memories!
