Atom B Season Opener
The Taylor Fluid Systems Atom B Aces started of the season
with an exhibition win against the Woolwich Wild. The final score was 3 to 1.
The first period was action packed with back and forth play as the girls sized up their opponents. Some good chances were all the fans saw, until 2 minutes into the second period, when Paige Campbell found the left side of the net on a breakaway pass from Ella Taylor.
The second goal for the Aces came in the third period. Stephanie Tsaltas carried the puck into the right corner, and executed a well-placed pass to the front of the net. Ella Taylor was there to receive it and shoot on net. The net minder stopped Ella’s shot but wasn’t able to stop Anne Nickel from scoring on the rebound.
Our final goal game with 2.28 minutes left of play when Lila Mortimer capitalized on a slow Woolwich pass in our end, carried it up the ice to make a great pass to Stephanie Tsaltas who broke away and put it top right corner. The Woolwich goalie never had a chance.
Honorable mentions go out to the following Atom B Aces. Both Aces net minders Sloan Cameron, Ava Neumeister, Grace Laverty for defense and Katelynn McMahon on offence.
The Taylor Fluid Systems Atom B Aces play two exhibition games this coming weekend. Friday in Lucan @ 7pm and Saturday Sept 16th @ 2pm at the Allman. If you cannot join us on the road, come and see some great hockey at the Allman.
